The Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop (FJ&P) – Ozamiz Branches have just celebrated its 35th Anniversary of being established in this City. Since it started the concept of sponsoring a Free Medical and Dental (sometimes with “Tuli”) Mission in the year 1997, it had sponsored incessantly a total of 22 outreach mission (of which 19 missions are held within the area of Ozamiz City and the other three (3) were conducted at a barangay each in Tangub City, Municipality of Clarin and Tudela). The said outreach mission have served a total of 8,063 patients.
These outreach mission have never been materialized without the cooperation and support of the City Health of Ozamiz and that of the health offices of Tangub City, Municipality of Tudela and Clarin.
During this year’s 35th Anniversary Medical and Dental Outreach Mission which was conducted at Barangay Litapan this city with the usual assistance, cooperation and support of the City Health Office of Ozamiz City headed by DR. DANIEL T. MEDINA, MD, was able to serve a total of 434 patients of which 375 are medical patients/beneficiaries and another 59 cases are tooth extraction. Patients from nearby Barangay Manaka, Esperanza, Tabid and Diguan have also benefited on this outreach missions.
The management of Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop doff its hat in gratitude to the personnel of Ozamiz City Health Office who have served this outreach mission particularly to DR. DANIEL T. MEDINA, MD (CHO II), DR. SHIELLA MARIE M. VALMONTE, MD, DR. JOJIE DEMECILLO, DMD – Dentist III, DR. MARIBETH SALOMON, DMD and to the nurses and midwives who have served this outreach mission.
We also give our thanks to the Barangay Officials of Barangay Litapan headed by Barangay Chairman Bonifacio Largo, its Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Tanods who have been so supportive and accommodating for the outreach mission. We also specially give our thanks to the Barangay Health Workers of Barangay Manaka who have gone out of there barangay to lend a helping hand to this outreach mission.
We also thanks our customers and “suki” for their support since the last 35 years because sans your support we could not have made this outreach mission. With your usual support, we will always be your “Responsible Community Partner” yesterday, today and for the years to come.
This outreach mission was able to serve 375 medical patients and 59 dental patients.
