The management of Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop has at all times thought of the welfare and happiness of all employees of the company and because of its clear vision of loyalty and leadership to its people, it had never crossed its mind to be a slave driver to its employee which give it a reason to allow recreational and social program for its employees to strengthen teamwork and camaraderie among its employees.
Hence, for this year’s Christmas Season, the company allows its employees to take a break from the tiring and challenging but monotonous work. It also found it as a time to recognize deserving individual and team efforts by way of recognition and compensation. This award will be handed out to rank and file employees with at least one (1) year of service and adjudged with an outstanding performance, attitude and interpersonal relationship, and recognized as the “Employee of the Year”. It will also recognize through a service ring awards to employees who has completed ten (10, fifteen (15) and twenty (20) years of continuous and dedicated service to the company.
Because the company has three distinct areas of operations, the Western Mindanao Sector with central office in Ozamis City which have sixteen (16) branches, the Northern Mindanao Sector with Cagayan de Oro City as its center of operations, with five (5) branches and Bohol Sector with two (2) branches, entails much risk to the traveling employees and their families considering that after being exhausted and under the influence of alcohol from the party, they have to travel immediately to there respective branches. Hence the Christmas Party was held at each sector to save the effort and time and also to allow the Management Staff to be present at each and every party held by each sector.
The Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop Employees have had happy time and pleasure during their separate sector parties. Food and desserts were provided from the caterer of their choice, they have had exchanging of Christmas gifts and lots of Parlor Games with prizes given to the winners. The much awaited part of the Christmas program was the Miss Gay Pageant at the Ozamis Sector and the “Miss Fely’s” at the Cagayan De Oro Sector. All contestants of this “pageants” have prepared fort heir roles as will as the efforts of the sponsoring branches which supported them. Christmas Carol contest were also done for each branch as well as each branch dance presentation. The Pawnshop’s General Manager, Human Resource Department Manager and most importantly have given their Christmas Messages and Inspirational Talks to the employees.

Oculam Christmas Message: This occasion gives us the opportunity to meet all of you together in celebrating the spirit of Christmas as one. Let us all remember that Christmas is the celebration of Christ who was born on this time of the year and the beginning of Christianity itself. It’s not just the season of hope, joy, love and sharing but also, the season of forgiveness. The entirety of our rituals and celebration of Christmas is geared towards the renewal of our faith.
Why am I choosing this message? Because if we let go the hatreds in our hearts by learning to forgive and knows how to ask forgiveness and by starting our year with clear conscience free from the burden of guilt by simply doing what is right. The guidance of our strong faith won’t let us led astray.
By exercising what I have just mentioned would tantamount to peace and harmony within your family and to your peers at work and by dwelling in that kind of environment you can serve this institution better.
Again, Let us enjoy this party but let us not forget what the real reason of Christmas is really all about. Merry Christmas to all and may God be with us always.
