Being a Responsible Community Partner, Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop together with Mrs. Daisy Figuracion, sponsored the 2019’s Bohol Crisis Intervention Center (BCIC) Christmas Party last December 20,2019.
The activity has been an annual commitment of the company every Christmas season, where Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop provides giveaways and food such as Lechon, fried chicken, and sum donuts. The giveaways were packed with some toiletries such as sanitary napkin, bath soap, shampoo and toothpaste, which were given to every young girl catered by the intervention center.
As a brief background, Bohol Crisis Intervention Center (BCIC) is owned and operated by the Provincial Government of Bohol and Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD). This intervention center caters young girls who are survivors of abuse and are kept in a facility while the cases filed at the culprits who are if not their own fathers, members in the family to prevent them in influencing the victim. They mainly provide care, protection, counseling, education or training and livelihood programs aiming to strengthen each of concerned girl’s capacities, capabilities and to provide self-direction.
Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop’s proprietor, Mr. Norris Chin Oculam, does not only extend his generosity during the season. Occasionally, he visits to BCIC to distribute toiletries and treat the kids with donuts and ice cream. Also, he recommends BCIC to groups and individuals who plan to do charity in Bohol.
Indeed, Mr. Norris Chin Oculam, through Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop, is a true Responsible Community Partner.
