The Bohol Crisis Intervention Center celebrates the season of Christmas. The proprietor of Felys Jewelry and Pawnshop, Mr. Norris Chin Oculam with Mr. & Mrs Raymond Figuracion, Brgy. Capt Arlene Karaan, Dr. Sharleen Lim & FJP Staff and volunteers joined and facilitate the BCIC’s Christmas Party last December 15, 2022.
This Charity has continued for the past 2 decades and and has no plans of stopping it. Bohol Crisis Intervention Center is owned and operated by the Provincial Government of Bohol and the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD). This intervention center caters to young girls who are survivors of abuse and are kept in a facility while the cases filed at the culprits who are if not their own fathers,members of the family to prevent them from influencing the victim. They mainly provide care, protection, counseling, education or training, and livelihood programs aiming to strengthen each of the concerned girls’ capacities, and capabilities and to provide self-direction.
In the BCIC’s Christmas program, Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop brought Lechon together with dugo2x and inatayan, Mr. Norris Oculam extend his generosity, he personally cooked the Sweet & Sour Fish, Fried Chicken, Chop Suey and Spaghetti plus a pack of toiletries like toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and other necessary needs for them, distributed by FJP’s staff and other volunteers. After the meal, he treats them Jco donuts and Dr. Sharleen Lim also joined and brought ice cream for the children. As giving thanks to the sponsor, the children of the intervention center sing for them.
The true essence of Christmas is not in the present but in the presence of the people who really care and express their love. Being RESPONSIBLE COMMUNITY PARTNERS, we continue to serve, help, support and extend our love and greetings to the children at Bohol Crisis Intervention Center.
