Christmas is not just a holiday. It is a season of love, to celebrate, appreciate, and live the life we aspire to. Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop (FJ&P), together with the Bohol Crisis Intervention Center (BCIC), celebrated one of the most anticipated events of the year: a Children’s Christmas Party.
The event was hosted and sponsored by the Tagbilaran Branch of FJ&P for the children of the Bohol Crisis Intervention Center, with the participation of owner Mr. Norris C. Oculam, Mr. Raymond Figuracion and Mrs. Daisy Figuracion, and FJ&P staff and volunteers.
For the last two decades, this charity has remained unwavering in its mission and has shown no intention of slowing its efforts. The Bohol Crisis Intervention Center serves young children who are victims of rape and other forms of abuse. The center provides a safe facility where these children are housed to prevent family members or perpetrators from influencing the victims while legal cases are ongoing. BCIC offers essential services such as care, protection, counseling, education, and skills training, along with livelihood programs designed to empower these children, enhance their abilities, and foster independence.
During the BCIC Christmas program, Fely’s Jewelry and Pawnshop provided lechon and other dishes. The celebration also included the distribution of toiletry packs containing toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and other basic necessities, which were handed out by FJ&P staff and volunteers. The children from the intervention center also shared a song and dance during the program.
The genuine spirit of Christmas lies not in gifts, but in the company of those who sincerely care and show love. As Responsible Community Partners, we remain dedicated to serving, assisting, supporting, and sharing our love and best wishes with the children of the Bohol Crisis Intervention Center.
